About
Addiction has taken captive over 40 million Americans. It is an epidemic everywhere, destroying lives and devastating families. 9 out of 10 addicts are not seeking treatment, or they are not finding it. That’s 9 out of 10 struggling with one of the world’s most debilitating epidemics, yet without help and without hope. Today alone, 125 Americans will have died from their addiction.
You can become all that God intended for you to be.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission
Our goal is to teach women a different way of life and how to have a more abundant life through Jesus. We believe that true success in breaking addictive behaviors starts with complete submission to Christ. Every person has a purpose in this life and our job is to help guide them in the right direction through love and the word of God.
Our Purpose
At the restoration home, we teach the ladies who they are in Christ. They will learn who their real enemy is. We want to lead these ladies to experience Christ and only through Him is true deliverance found. We want to STOP the addictive behaviors and not suppress them. Knowledge and understanding of the Bible will retrain them the right way to deal with situations in their lives. In order to STOP the addictions, the root of the problem in the person's life has to be dealt with. Through the Word of God, healing can take place.
While in the program, they will learn and attend the following: Focus, consistency, responsibilities, accountability, work ethics, time management, community service, self-sufficient, self-supporting, set goals, counselling, chapel, church events and rallies, anger management, parenting classes, GED classes, and financial classes. They will pay their fines and child support, ect.

Sheila Self
I am the Founder/Executive Director
My name is Sheila Self. I am married to my best friend and biggest supporter, Gary Self. In December 2012 I had a supernatural encounter. I felt the presence of God and was set free from all my sins and delivered from bondage. I was given a new heart, had an open vision and received anointing all in a short time. The experience radically changed my life forever! I had a vision of a sign that read: The Cross that is where everything began. In January 2015 I started volunteering at a women's home in Cullman. It created a hunger in me to learn more and I found myself growing in a sense of leadership. Soon after a friend invited me to go with her to the Cullman County Jail and witness to the girls. That very first visit moved my spirit so much that I made this place the heart of my ministry. With the Lord's grace, I continued to pray and after several months my husband and I felt led to open one of our rental properties for a women's home, The Grace House. The Grace House facilitates 10 ladies. Since it has opened I've noticed that the very same changes I saw in the jail are still happening here at the Grace House and the ladies are thriving as they learn who they are in Christ. As a result, in May 2019 we opened another rental property for our transitional home. A men's and women's home will be coming to Arab soon. Now I am serving as Director of The Cross Ministries. It has been a long hard journey, but it has been worth it. We are so thankful to God for the transforming work he is doing in their lives. All praise honor and glory to Jesus Christ our Savior.
